The Security Officer II, Grade 8, is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the Authority’s buildings, rental premises, property, equipment, staff, visitors, tenants, and contractors. The role involves implementing security systems, coordinating surveillance operations, conducting investigations, and liaising with law enforcement and external security providers to safeguard the organization’s assets and personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and arrange security coverage for all staff, visitors, tenants, properties, equipment, and machinery.
Implement and monitor sustainable security systems, including CCTV surveillance in collaboration with the ICT team.
Enforce identification procedures by issuing staff badges, visitor tags, and contractor identification cards.
Liaise with law enforcement agencies, government bodies, and external security providers on security matters.
Investigate security breaches, maintain records of incidents, and close cases within set timelines.
Conduct surveillance, inspections, and security surveys to prevent theft, fire, assault, and other risks.
Prepare daily occurrence reports, security briefs, and periodic reports on observations and incidents.
Gather security intelligence and enforce compliance with relevant security laws, regulations, guidelines, and procedures.
Implement security sensitization programs and facilitate staff training on safety awareness.
Develop and implement emergency response measures to ensure the safety and well-being of employees and clients.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Security Studies, Criminology and Criminal Justice, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Key Competencies
Strong analytical and investigative skills.
Ability to coordinate security operations and respond effectively to emergencies.
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
High level of integrity, vigilance, and attention to detail.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
