Terms of Reference
The Communications Specialist plays a vital role in advancing the Internet Society Foundation’s Communications strategy, supporting its Philanthropy function. This position collaborates closely with team members across Programs, Operations, and Monitoring and Evaluation to develop and implement the Foundation’s social media, website, and storytelling strategies, leveraging expertise in digital strategy, social media best practices, and strong writing skills. As part of a passionate and driven team, the Communications Specialist will manage multiple priorities across the program portfolio, requiring excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, adaptability to a fast-paced, diverse environment, and a collaborative mindset. Proficiency in French or Spanish is an advantage but not mandatory. This role involves engaging with the Executive Director, Program Officers, Operations Staff, and Monitoring and Evaluation team to align communications efforts with the Foundation’s strategic and programmatic goals.
