The Systems Developer will design, develop, and maintain hospital information systems with a key focus on system integration, API development, process automation, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (Navision). The role ensures seamless data flow, operational efficiency, and enhanced service delivery across the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain APIs, middleware, and integrations across hospital systems (EMR, LIS, RIS, HRMIS, Navision ERP).
Ensure interoperability using healthcare IT standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM).
Build scalable digital solutions and automate manual processes using scripts, bots, or RPA tools.
Customize, configure, and extend Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (Navision) for finance, HR, supply chain, and billing functions.
Create Navision dashboards, workflows, and reports and integrate it with clinical and support systems.
Provide technical support, troubleshoot integration issues, and maintain data security and compliance.
Prepare documentation, user guides, training materials, and update or refactor legacy code.
Design, code, test, debug, and document new and existing software modules.
Estimate project timelines, budgets, and resource needs, while communicating risks effectively.
Stay updated on emerging healthcare IT technologies and recommend innovations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Professional certifications such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant; API/Integration (REST, SOAP, HL7, FHIR); and RPA tools (UiPath, Power Automate).
3–5 years’ experience in a 24/7 service environment, systems development, API integration, or ERP customization.
Strong programming skills in C#, .NET, SQL, JavaScript; experience with C, C++, Java, or assembly is an added advantage.
Competence in operating systems such as VMWare, Windows Server (R2/2016), Linux, and Windows 10.
Knowledge of hospital IT systems (EMR, HIS, LIS, PACS) and healthcare data standards.
Experience with cloud computing, virtualization, and unified communications.
Strong documentation, project management, multitasking, leadership, and people management abilities.
High standards of integrity, confidentiality, professionalism, and alignment with Tenwek Hospital’s Christian mission.
Key Competencies
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical teams.
Proficient with software engineering tools (configuration management, debuggers, emulators).
Ability to capture and document software requirements and develop responsive system modules.
