The company produces trusted personal and home care brands including MIADI, AMARA, SO SOFT, SPARKLE, ACE, Haco pegs and rulers, and is the sole licensed distributor of Palmers in Kenya. The HR Business Partner plays a strategic role in aligning human capital initiatives with business objectives. This position drives organizational development, workforce planning, change management, talent development, and employee relations while ensuring compliance with labor laws and HR best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a strategic partner to business units by translating business goals into effective human capital strategies.
Lead organizational development initiatives including workforce planning, structure reviews, and change management programs.
Champion organizational culture and support initiatives that reinforce company values and performance standards.
Drive performance management processes including goal setting, reviews, appraisals, and performance improvement plans.
Support succession planning, talent identification, and employee development initiatives.
Manage employee engagement and welfare programs to improve retention and job satisfaction.
Oversee compensation and benefits administration ensuring equity, competitiveness, and compliance.
Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters including discipline, grievances, and conflict resolution.
Participate in Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations and implementation where applicable.
Develop and implement HR policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate HR records within the HRIS.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management or Certified Human Resources Professional qualification.
Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.
Minimum of five years supervisory experience in a HR role within the Manufacturing or FMCG sector.
Active membership with a recognized professional body such as IHRM.
Strong knowledge of employee relations, labor laws, change management, and HR analytics.
Proficiency in modern HRIS platforms and digital HR tools with strong business and stakeholder management skills.
