The Toward Scaling Project Officer supports the implementation, coordination, and learning activities of DOT’s youth-focused Toward Scaling initiative. The role works closely with community-based organizations across Africa to help scale innovative development projects, ensure smooth program delivery, support partner capacity building, and contribute to learning, documentation, and storytelling. The position requires a digitally fluent, proactive professional capable of managing multiple workstreams and strengthening partner engagement and program efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate day-to-day implementation of Toward Scaling projects to ensure timely and effective delivery.
Liaise with Scale Partners to track progress, gather updates, and identify support needs.
Plan and facilitate key program activities, including online workshops, launch events, review sessions, and check-in meetings.
Support contracting, due diligence, reporting, and compliance in alignment with organizational standards.
Document partner learning, outcomes, and progress toward scaling objectives.
Collect, analyze, and synthesize project data to support learning and develop knowledge materials.
Prepare periodic progress reports, briefs, and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate communication and knowledge sharing among the Core Project Management Team, Donor, and Scale Partners.
Utilize digital and collaborative tools to enhance reporting, coordination, and information management.
Identify and adopt digital or process innovations to enhance program efficiency and learning.
Perform additional tasks as required to support project success.

Coordination and facilitation of key project events and sessions.

Promotion of inclusive, diverse, and youth-centered engagement spaces.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in program or project coordination, preferably in innovation, development, or scaling initiatives.
Strong digital literacy and experience with collaborative/data management tools.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within teams and manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
