    Terms of Reference

    The 2024 edition of the Shaping Futures Academy will run from April to November, structured into five connected learning blocks: three part-time online and two full-time in-person phases. The first in-person phase will be held at IDOS in Bonn, Germany, from May to June 2024, including study trips to Berlin and Brussels. The second in-person phase will take place in Accra, Ghana, in October 2024, co-hosted by the Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana). The online phases in April, September, and November will involve part-time sessions, requiring about three hours of synchronous learning per day, blending plenary and group calls with self-paced and offline discussions. The Academy is designed for early to mid-career professionals from selected African and European countries. Successful applicants will receive scholarships covering travel, accommodation, a monthly living allowance, insurance, and a subsidy for technical needs during the online phases.
