The Laikipia County Public Service Board invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Health Records and Information Management Officer III (Job Group CPSB 11). This is an entry and training position offered on permanent and pensionable terms.

Position Details

Position: Assistant Health Records and Information Management Officer III (Job Group CPSB 11).
Number of Vacancies: Four (4).
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable.
Salary: Ksh. 26,900 x 1,110 - 28,010 x 1,120 - 29,130 x 1,150 - 30,280 x 1,170 - 31,450 x 1,250 - 32,700 x 1,300 - 34,000 x 1,380 - 35,380 per month.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and document patients at hospital reception.
Register patients and book appointments for clinics and consultants.
Store and retrieve medical records documents.
Prepare clinics and update the bed bureau.
Edit patient case records and gather data from different sources.
Capture data from service points and prepare health records and reports.
Maintain record safety and confidentiality.
Balance daily bed returns and create and maintain the master index.
Update the patient master index and direct patients to the relevant clinics.
Schedule patients to consultants and specialty clinics.
Assign codes to diseases and surgical procedures according to the International Classification of Diseases and Procedures in Medicine.

Qualifications

Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology from a recognized institution.
Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution.
Registration with a relevant professional body.
