The Kwale County Public Service Board is inviting applications from competent and qualified candidates for the position of Medical Officer in the Department of Health Services.

Position Details

Position: Medical Officer.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, care for, and treat diseases.
Perform medical and surgical procedures.
Prepare for and respond to emergencies and disasters.
Participate in the management of medicines, medical instruments, and equipment.
Provide health education.
Maintain medical records, health information, and data.
Counsel patients and their relatives on diagnoses and bereavement.
Teach and coach medical students, nursing students, and clinical officer interns.
Prepare requisite documents for registration.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from a recognized institution by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
Successfully completed one year internship from a recognized institution.
Registration certificate from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
Practicing license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
