Royal Mabati Factory Limited is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Operations Manager. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate all operational functions of the business, ensuring strategic execution, process compliance, system utilization, and team performance. The role is responsible for ensuring seamless execution across departments while driving cost efficiency, quality, safety, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a strategic advisor to the Managing Director by aligning operational plans with company wide transformation goals and ensuring effective frontline management.
Lead implementation of cross functional projects under Strategic Execution and Transformation while tracking milestones, timelines, and deliverables across business units.
Establish formal escalation paths for stalled actions and unresolved cross departmental issues and prepare weekly and monthly operational reports for the Managing Director and board level updates.
Lead Weekly Operations Review meetings with Heads of Department and ensure Daily Operations Review meetings are conducted with proper documentation and task tracking.
Implement a matrix accountability framework across Factory, Depot, Transport, and Commercial teams with clear key performance indicators and escalation mechanisms.
Provide leadership in marketing and brand management to maximize return on investment and maintain accountability for the marketing budget.
Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team performance targets.
Oversee production planning, shift scheduling, material readiness, and preventive maintenance in line with production procedures.
Ensure compliance with KEBS and ISO quality standards through implementation of quality protocols and non conformance reporting.
Lead monthly performance reviews and quarterly staff appraisals in line with the Human Resources Manual and Commission and Key Performance Indicator procedures.
Oversee dispatch operations, routing plans, fuel calculations, and delivery sequencing in accordance with company procedures.
Lead operational response under the Crisis Management Policy by ensuring incidents are assessed, escalated, and resolved with proper documentation.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Business Administration with specialization in Strategic Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering.
Minimum of ten years of experience in operations within manufacturing or logistics.
Proven leadership experience managing cross functional teams.
Proficiency in ERP, CRM systems, data analytics, and project management.
Six Sigma, Kaizen, or DMAIC certification.
Lean Management certification is an added advantage.
