    Terms of Reference

    The Engineering and Science Complex (ESC) is a key initiative aimed at transforming science, engineering, and technology training at the University of Nairobi in line with Kenya's Vision 2030. A collaboration between the Kenyan government and the French Development Agency (AFD), the project focuses on strengthening research and innovation through high-quality doctoral training. To bridge the human resource gap within its proposed Communities of Excellence (CoEs), ESC is offering five PhD scholarships for University of Nairobi academic staff, aligned with five of the eight proposed CoEs.
