The Courier Operations Supervisor will oversee and manage daily courier activities at Nation Media Group PLC, ensuring timely, efficient, and secure delivery of parcels and documents. The role involves coordinating drivers, riders, sales teams, and customers to uphold high service standards, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and actively manage daily courier operations including dispatching, routing, and tracking deliveries.
Monitor delivery schedules and ensure on-time performance across all routes.
Coordinate parcel pickups and drop-offs in line with service level agreements (SLAs).
Collaborate with the distribution team to allocate vehicles, drivers, and riders effectively.
Verify completion of deliveries and maintain proof of delivery records.
Handle and resolve escalated customer queries and delivery-related complaints.
Track operational metrics such as delivery timelines, success rates, and client retention.
Prepare daily and weekly performance reports for management review.
Support digital tracking and automation initiatives to improve courier efficiency.
Maintain accurate customer data and billing information in the courier system.
Coordinate with upcountry courier teams and distributors on last-mile delivery costs and reimbursements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in courier, logistics, or delivery operations supervision.
Strong coordination, organizational, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in digital tracking systems and operational reporting.
Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
High integrity and commitment to operational excellence.
