The Kwale County Public Service Board is inviting applications from competent and qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Librarian III. This is the entry and training grade for this cadre.

Position Details

Position: Assistant Librarian III.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, stamp, and record incoming information materials, books, documents, and publications.
Shelve, charge, and discharge library materials.
Paste date due labels and ensure compliance with stipulated due dates.
Prepare file pockets, spiral labeling, book jackets, and press cuttings for binding.
Arrange library shelves.
Provide reference services to readers.
File catalogue cards and press cuttings.
Charge and discharge library materials.

Qualifications

Diploma in Library Science, Information Studies, Archives Administration, or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Certificate in Computer Application.
