The Kwale County Public Service Board is inviting applications from competent and qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Social Development Officer III in the Department of Social Services and Talent Management.

Key Responsibilities

Work with communities to identify and mobilize local resources for the implementation of development projects and guide communities in developing Community Action Plans (CAPs).
Liaise with local communities and other development agencies in implementing community development programmes.
Identify self-help groups and community based organizations for registration.
Mobilize and assist communities in identifying, developing, and managing viable social and economic activities to improve their standards of living.
Provide services by increasing the capacity of local people, volunteers, and community organizations while ensuring community involvement remains at the centre of programme activities.

Qualifications

Diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Counseling, Mental Health, Community Development, Gender, Development Studies, Project Planning or Management, Environmental Studies, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Certificate in Computer Application from a recognized institution.
