Key Responsibilities

Identify opportunities for automation across manufacturing processes including production, supply chain, and quality assurance.
Design, develop, and implement software tools and scripts to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze existing processes and recommend innovative solutions that reduce costs and increase productivity.
Lead projects involving emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, and robotics integration in manufacturing environments.
Test and deploy custom applications and system integrations to optimize operational workflows.
Monitor the performance of implemented innovations and refine solutions based on operational data.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement through workshops and best practice initiatives.
Stay updated on automation trends and apply new technologies to manufacturing challenges.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree is an added advantage.
Four to six years of experience in IT development and innovation, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment.

Key Competencies

Expertise in programming languages such as Python and Java, along with automation tools including robotic process automation software.
Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile.
Experience with manufacturing automation systems including PLC programming and SCADA.
Professional certifications in project management such as PMP or innovation related certifications are an added advantage.
Creative problem solving skills with the ability to deliver practical and scalable solutions.
Excellent leadership and communication skills to drive cross functional innovation initiatives.
