Solidaridad Network Foundation is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Junior IT Specialist. The successful candidate will support the organization's daily technology needs, execute and maintain global IT infrastructure, strengthen IT security, support Google Workspace restructuring, coordinate service desk activities, and collaborate with IT specialists across regional offices.

Position Details

Position: Junior IT Specialist.

Work Arrangement: Flexible hybrid or fully remote in countries where Solidaridad has offices.

Key Responsibilities

Restructure Google Workspace across the network by implementing standardized Shared Drives and role based folder architectures to mitigate data breach risks.
Establish and execute formal user account provisioning and offboarding processes, ensuring immediate access revocation for former employees and consultants.
Implement and monitor daily automated backup routines for global environments including Google Workspace, Salesforce, and Certinia through Spanning or similar tools.
Conduct periodic data restoration tests as part of backup and disaster recovery operations.
Enforce the Network Minimum Standard Requirements for IT Security and support the rollout of the formal network security policy.
Implement procedures to prevent unauthorized data access and fraud vulnerabilities and support compliance with GDPR and reporting obligations.
Maintain updated technical documentation covering global IT processes, system configurations, and security protocols.
Support day to day tickets for the Service Desk.
Coordinate with local Regional IT staff to support business operations and technical system troubleshooting.
Provide technical support to staff from the Executive Director office.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, System Engineering, or equivalent practical hands on experience.
Minimum of two to three years of professional experience in IT system administration, helpdesk coordination, or network security.
Strong administrative proficiency in Google Workspace Admin Console, including access controls and Shared Drive governance.
Hands on exposure to Salesforce and Certinia ecosystems.
Experience with GDPR and other privacy related regulations.
Experience with backup tools such as Spanning and implementing backup, data restoration, and user offboarding protocols.
Working proficiency in English.
Additional languages spoken in Solidaridad regional offices, such as Spanish, Portuguese, or French, are a strong asset.
Proactive execution skills with the ability to implement automated and preemptive risk mitigation measures.
Strong problem solving and technical agility for handling complex second and third line support inquiries and assessing system changes.
Strong communication skills for supporting decentralized local IT teams and regional offices across different continents.
Meticulous approach to security compliance, user audits, documentation, and data privacy protocols.
