Zeraki is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Mid-Level Java Backend Engineer. The successful candidate will build and maintain scalable backend systems that power Zeraki's education technology products, contribute to system architecture, mentor junior engineers, and ensure high performance, reliability, and security across backend services.

Position Details

Position: Mid-Level Java Backend Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain high performance backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Lead backend feature development with minimal supervision.
Refactor and optimize backend systems to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability.
Contribute to engineering standards, code reviews, documentation, and architectural discussions.
Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of production systems.
Ensure high availability and reliability through monitoring, testing, and incident response.
Troubleshoot complex backend issues and recommend improvements to system performance and security.
Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with Product, QA, Customer Experience, and Operations teams.

Qualifications

Three to five years of hands on experience in Java backend development.
Proficiency in Java frameworks such as Spring Boot and experience building RESTful or microservices architectures.
Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI or CD pipelines.
Strong debugging, performance optimization, and problem solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage complex technical challenges.
