The Engineering Technician III Roads role is an entry level technical position within the County Government of Machakos, designed to provide training and hands on experience in road infrastructure development and maintenance. The officer works under supervision and supports data collection, site inspections, materials testing, and quality control to ensure effective execution of road projects.

Key Responsibilities

Collect and compile data on road infrastructure assets and ongoing works.
Participate in inspection of road construction and maintenance projects.
Assist in conducting site investigations and assessments.
Help identify suitable construction materials for road works.
Prepare and maintain daily inspection and site reports.
Support materials testing and quality control processes.
Ensure proper documentation of field activities and findings.

Qualifications

Diploma in Civil Engineering, Highway Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Registration as a Candidate Engineering Technician with the Kenya Engineering Technology Registration Board.
