The Interior Designer is responsible for providing professional design advisory services to showroom clients while supporting product sales and project specification requirements. The role combines client engagement, design consultation, technical interpretation of drawings, and sales support to help clients select premium wall finishes, mouldings, and architectural solutions that meet their project needs.

Key Responsibilities

Attend to walk in and appointment based showroom clients.
Understand client requirements, budgets, and design preferences.
Recommend suitable finishes, mouldings, and decorative solutions based on project needs.
Actively promote products and support the achievement of sales targets.
Build and maintain relationships with homeowners, architects, interior designers, and contractors.
Read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings.
Translate drawings into material specifications and finish schedules.
Prepare basic design layouts, presentations, and visual concepts.
Advise clients on product suitability, application methods, and installation considerations.
Prepare drawings, visuals, and supporting documentation for quotations.
Maintain accurate records of client briefs, specifications, and approvals.
Coordinate with the sales team, quantity surveyors, and stores team to support project delivery.
Follow up on quotations, revisions, orders, and after sales inquiries.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or a related field.
Between two (2) and five (5) years of experience in interior design, architectural finishes, or a related industry.
Demonstrated experience advising clients on materials, finishes, and design solutions.
Experience in a showroom or client facing environment will be an added advantage.
Comfortable working in a sales driven and performance based role.
Proficiency in design presentation and drawing interpretation tools will be an advantage.
