SBM Bank Kenya is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Direct Sales Representative. The successful candidates will be responsible for promoting and selling consumer banking products, identifying new business opportunities, onboarding customers, and delivering excellent customer service to support business growth and long term customer relationships.

Position Details

Position: Direct Sales Representative (Multiple Positions).
Employer: SBM Bank Kenya.
Department: Consumer Banking.
Band Level: DSR.
Locations: Nairobi, Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale, Nakuru, Kericho, Narok, Kisii, and Kitale.
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, prospect, and onboard new retail customers within assigned scheme companies.
Promote, sell, and cross sell consumer banking products and services to meet customer needs.
Generate quality sales leads and convert them into successful account openings.
Participate in consumer banking sales campaigns and achieve weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales targets.
Ensure customer documentation complies with account opening requirements before submission for processing.
Build and maintain strong relationships with company contacts through regular visits and follow up.
Support customer retention by responding promptly to customer queries and resolving complaints within the required timelines.
Participate in customer engagement activities, service open days, and product activations.

Qualifications

Minimum Certificate qualification with at least three years of sales experience in banking, or a Diploma or Bachelor's degree with at least one year of sales experience in banking.
Good understanding of banking products, services, industry regulations, and standard operating procedures.
Excellent understanding and interpretation of financial information.
Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business acumen.
Excellent networking, planning, and organizational skills.
Self motivated and results driven with a passion for sales.
