NIBS Technical College is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Garment Production Machinist (Tailor). The institution is seeking a skilled and detail oriented professional to support garment production by cutting, sewing, repairing, and altering garments while maintaining high quality standards and meeting production targets.

Position Details

Position: Garment Production Machinist (Tailor).
Employer: NIBS Technical College.
Employment Type: Full Time.

Key Responsibilities

Cut, sew, repair, and alter garments while ensuring neat finishes and high quality workmanship.
Operate industrial sewing machines for high volume garment production.
Follow stitching specifications, patterns, and work orders accurately.
Assemble garments with precision and efficiency.
Maintain sewing machines and report any faults or maintenance requirements.
Adhere to workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets.
Inspect finished garments for defects and make the necessary corrections.

Qualifications

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in garment production.
Proficiency in operating sewing machines and tailoring equipment.
Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Physically fit and able to sit or stand for extended periods.
