The Office and Research Administration Assistant Trainee role is a contract position based in Nairobi, with two vacancies available at job grade KMR 07. The position focuses on providing administrative, logistical, and coordination support to research programs and teams, ensuring efficient operations and smooth execution of activities. The job was advertised on 23rd March 2026 and closes on 12th April 2026 at 5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate program and team activities to support efficient operations.
Type, compile, and prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence.
Provide administrative and logistical support for meetings, trainings, workshops, and stakeholder events across regions.
Support research project activities, including follow up on approvals such as IRB and PPB.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records and documentation.
Draft emails, letters, and other official correspondence.
Take detailed and accurate meeting notes.
Assist in preparing presentations and reports.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or Finance and Administration.
Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within multi skilled teams.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities.
Interest in research, bioethics, training, and capacity building.
High level of integrity.
