The Grants and Compliance Officer will support the management of grant processes at Reproductive Health Network Kenya, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and effective administration of grant-funded projects. The role involves supporting proposal development, monitoring grant performance, ensuring timely reporting, and coordinating with program and finance teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparation, review, and submission of grant proposals including budgeting and narrative development.
Maintain accurate records of grant documents, reports, and correspondence.
Track deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements to ensure compliance.
Collaborate with finance and program teams to monitor expenditures and budget adherence.
Prepare donor financial reports in line with reporting guidelines.
Act as liaison between program staff, donors, and stakeholders on grant matters.
Ensure compliance with donor regulations, policies, and procedures.
Support development and implementation of grant management systems and policies.
Build staff capacity in grant management practices.
Monitor workflows, templates, and processes to ensure internal controls and legal compliance.
Stay updated on reproductive health sector trends and funding priorities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
Certified Public Accountant Kenya qualification required.
At least four years of experience in grant management, donor compliance, or financial oversight.
Experience with international donors, proposal development, budgeting, and reporting.
Strong understanding of grant lifecycle from award to closeout.
Proficiency in grants management systems and financial analysis.
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently, manage pressure, and travel when required.

Contract: 12 months, renewable based on performance and funding availability
Location: Nairobi
Reports to: Associate Director, Grants and Compliance
