The Digital Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support for the bank’s digital channels systems, including mobile banking, agency banking, internet banking, and other digital platforms. The role involves collaborating with internal IT units and third-party vendors to ensure system reliability, security, and efficient delivery of digital banking services.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support and maintenance for digital channels such as Agency Banking, Mobi Loan, Internet Banking, C2B, MTS, and Channel Manager systems.
Implement and roll out business solutions that are well tested, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Collaborate with IT Security to implement SSL and other encryption certificates to secure digital money transfer services.
Recommend and implement upgrades to improve system performance, security, and business efficiency.
Provide first-level IT training and support to users, track user issues, and ensure prompt resolution.
Analyze user requirements to design and deliver effective digital solutions.
Develop and enhance new channels for delivering banking services to customers.
Maintain up-to-date system configurations, user documentation, and business continuity plans for digital channel solutions.
Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for system vendors.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
Professional certification in ITIL, Linux, or Oracle Database Administration is an added advantage.
Master’s degree in a computer, business, or project management-related field is an added advantage.
Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a similar or related role.
At least 2 years’ experience in administering Digital Channels (Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, Agency Banking).
At least 2 years’ experience in Linux Server Administration.
At least 1 year of experience in IT Projects and Business Analysis.
Experience in Change Management is an added advantage.
Key Competencies
Strong technical and analytical skills in digital systems administration.
Ability to troubleshoot system issues efficiently and collaborate across teams.
Sound understanding of IT security practices and digital banking technologies.
Excellent communication, documentation, and user support skills.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
