The Senior Finance Officer Financial Reporting is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely and high quality financial reporting to management, regulatory bodies and financial partners. The role supports business growth by analyzing financial data, preparing reports and providing insights that guide decision making while ensuring compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.
Prepare statutory reports including Central Bank reports within required timelines.
Produce branch, management and board accounts and respond to related queries.
Conduct variance analysis of expenses and generate analytical reports to support decision making.
Support audit processes and assist in budgeting preparation, monitoring and control.
Ensure tax compliance and support tax planning initiatives.
Post financial transactions accurately and monitor general ledger balances.
Maintain fixed asset registers and monitor work in progress accounts.
Reconcile bank placements, investments, borrowings and other accounts as assigned.
Perform periodic physical verification of assets and monthly stock takes.
Prepare supplier payments and ensure accurate posting of financial entries and adjustments.
Maintain proper filing of financial records and support end month reporting processes.
Carry out any other duties as assigned by management.
Bachelor’s degree in a business related field.
CPA qualification.
At least three years of experience with a minimum of one year in the banking sector.
Strong analytical and financial reporting skills with attention to detail.
High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability.
Good understanding of banking policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
Strong planning, organization and problem solving abilities.
Ability to analyze financial statements and provide actionable insights.
Team player with a focus on performance and service delivery.
