The Business Development Specialist is responsible for driving company growth through strategic initiatives, client acquisition, and market expansion. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing partnerships, and strengthening HDL’s presence in the healthcare construction industry. The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional with excellent networking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends in the healthcare construction sector.
Analyze industry data and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions and enhance market positioning.
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders in the healthcare and construction industries.
Act as the primary point of contact for prospective clients, ensuring timely communication and tailored solutions to meet client needs.
Identify and establish strategic partnerships that expand HDL’s market reach and service capabilities.
Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to represent HDL and promote its expertise in healthcare construction.
Develop and execute business development plans and strategies to meet and exceed revenue and growth targets.
Prepare and deliver engaging presentations, proposals, and RFP responses that highlight HDL’s value proposition and capabilities.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop technically sound and commercially viable proposals.
Lead contract negotiations, including pricing and timelines, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements for clients and the company.
Work closely with the marketing team to support brand-building initiatives, case studies, and promotional campaigns.
Track, analyze, and report on sales metrics and market trends to support data-driven decision-making.
Provide regular updates to senior management on business development progress, opportunities, and competitive intelligence.
Contribute to long-term strategic planning by identifying key opportunities for growth and expansion in alignment with company goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management roles.
In-depth understanding of the construction industry, preferably within healthcare infrastructure.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals and business growth targets.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with a client-focused approach.
Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and proposal development tools.
