The Commercial Growth Lead will play a critical role in growing revenues and bringing structure to sales processes. The role is responsible for B2B business development, acquiring new key client accounts that adopt e-bicycle solutions, and exploring sectors including corporates, tourism, education, agriculture, and NGOs. The position also leads and inspires a team of sales agents to drive new business development, achieve sales targets, and expand market presence in Kenya and beyond.
Generate B2B leads while guiding the team to identify and engage corporate partners, businesses, and organizations across different sectors.
Support team efforts to target industries such as corporates, tourism, education, agriculture, NGOs, and delivery services.
Facilitate team activities to secure at least five high potential business meetings per month.
Coach and mentor the sales team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and individual job responsibilities.
Develop onboarding programs for new sales team members to integrate them effectively.
Establish a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Develop sales strategies to meet a monthly target of 100 electric bicycles.
Monitor individual and team performance to ensure at least 90% of the quarterly sales quota is met.
Assist team members in closing deals by providing support during negotiations and proposals.
Lead the team in conducting product demonstrations and support achievement of a target of 15 demonstrations per month.
Provide coaching on effective presentation techniques tailored to diverse industries.
Ensure product feedback is collected to refine sales approaches.
Support the team in achieving a 90% client retention rate and maintaining a default rate below 15% for installment payment clients.
Establish a framework for regular client follow ups and issue resolution within 48 hours.
Foster relationships that result in client referrals and positive testimonials.
Collaborate with the team to identify at least three new business opportunities, financing solutions, or sales partnerships monthly.
Stay informed of market trends and competitor activities, sharing actionable insights with the team during weekly recaps.
Ensure daily updates to the CRM system and timely submission of reports by the team.
Analyze performance data to identify trends, successes, and areas for improvement.
Provide comprehensive reports to senior management with clear recommendations for growth strategies.
At least six (6) years of proven sales experience in mobility, agriculture, education, technology, FMCG, or similar sectors.
A relevant and active network across MSME, corporate, tourism, education, agriculture, or NGO sectors.
Experience building and leading a sales team as the company scales.
Strong track record of achieving sales targets.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and oral and written communication skills.
Independent, proactive, and strategic thinker.
Willingness to do client visits with an e-bicycle.
Passion for sustainable mobility and promoting innovative e-bike solutions.
Ability to secure initial conversations and build relationships with decision makers.
Ability to build and lead a sales team towards achieving results.
Strategic thinking combined with hands on execution ability.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients at all levels.
Strong commercial drive with the ability to bring in new business, grow accounts, and exceed sales targets.
